Mallardsby Bear_MusicComment: Perhaps not as spiritual as my geese, but very nice ;)
The setting doesn't look like what I would expect from your neck of the woods though... what it makes me think of is tundra, especially the way the pool seems somewhat on its own. |

The Edge of the Woods (Redux)by dahlinComment: Agreed- the painterly effect really does work well for this. The blurring of the grass bottom left is a bit noticeable though, and seems a bit unnatural since the other grass has a bit of texture to it.
This is a minor issue though. |

Barn and Wagon by GermaineComment: I liked the story you related in the comments-
Reminds me of when I first got my Fuji, which had 9.1mpix, and my friends were amazed as well. I remembered using an old Fuji that had 2.3 and thinking it was the cat's meow :)
Interesting roof on this... the colors almost form like a secondary composition within the shot. |

Edge of the cityby hajekaComment: The layout of the houses really adds a lot to this- the fashion in which they somewhat sprout from the hillside is curious, intruding upon the landscape. |

Storm Front - With Rotationby pmichaudComment: Do you remember more specifically where you took it? I live in Colorado and love the plains, so just curious.
Also, I like the tiny bit of land you captured- the dry grass contrasts nicely with the sky. |

Cowtownby Yo_SpiffComment: I like your composition and what you've done with things here. The scene itself, though, I'm not too enamored with. It seems like it's caught in a nether region between a cityscape and a landscape. To me, perhaps if the scene was more starkly contrasting between elements in the landscape it would be stronger, or more unified in concept. |

Elementary by h2Comment: Ha, I was pretty sure I was correct in guessing you. I didn't notice the graduated border the first time- it's a nice touch. Congrats on the placement, as well. |

Monty Pythons Boxing Match Redux!by JulietNNComment: Oh man, the bad tattoo you posted is in good company. And by good company, I mean bad.
It's a very well done photo, technically, but lacks the Monty Python feel entirely. The expression seems unrelated, and I don't feel as though I'm getting the story you want to tell.
(I'm aware of what you're referencing) |

Night Riderby marboComment: You need to smooth out the lightpainting a little bit, but this is interesting. Definitely potential here, but things seem sorta haphazard, particularly the green laser light. The wall is rather garish, and the composition needs to be strengthened. It's very static. A lot of that could be alleviated by changing your pov by moving closer, to the left, and lower. |
