I love the tight crop on this. Just enough detail in the petals to let me know it is a flower. The greens are amazing. I really like this photo better then the first one.

I like it, but the bug does need to do something about the stubble, this is a photo shoot after all. I like the hexagonal shape in the eyes. I hope that by being called a, 'Skeeter Hawk', it eats Skeeters.

Looks like a hungry bee. I have never seen the bee with its head in the flower before, thanks for the view. The bee is nicely in focus and I really don't mind the flower not being in focus.

I was going to pun around with, Herb Parsons Lake, but couldn't get there at this hour of the day. This is so textural and colorful. I love the perspective and the layers of leaves and flowers. I might have cropped a bit closer but maybe not. I do not get the Christmas reference, maybe 2 years in the tropics has turned my brain to mush. I think the condition is termed, beach brain.

Up close and personal with a raspberry. The color is spectacular and the berry looks delicious. I hope you got to eat some before they were all gone. I got so hungry for the raspberry I almost bit my monitor.

I was thinking sawdust or shavings of plastic laminate and the Petey's hair adds scale to the image. Nice sharp focus on the hair.

Some dusty bits here. At first I couldn't figure out how this would hold DVD's then I remembered the shiny tools part of your comments. I don't think I'd be using the big curved drill bit any time soon. I know it is lens distortion. Bright orange and bright twisted metal make for an interesting subject.

Sorry to hear about the puppies, I hope they are OK.
