Shavings can make a great subject for macros, and this is what I am guessing this is. Could use better focus, and clone out the hair at the bottom. I do like the idea. I might steal it and do a macro of the guinea pig cage shavings for today - now to decide on clean or dirty hehehhe

I was thinking sawdust or shavings of plastic laminate and the Petey's hair adds scale to the image. Nice sharp focus on the hair.

No worries, it's one of Petey's hairs! We're working on a DVD case, these are the shavings from the router. Petey likes to hang around and help.

The slender thing in the corner makes this shot interesting. Even with all the other shapes and textures, it grabs my attention. I hope that it isn't inside your camera on the sensor.
