everything i see reminds me of herby mefnjComment: The image fires on all cylinders, with simple familiar toothpick shape manipulated in an exploration of contradictions between straight and curved, light and dark, foreground and background. It makes a beautiful abstract with hard dark shapes against fuzzy cloudy texture. Then the title elevates it to communication of familiar emotions around absence of another, eliciting a knowing smile that the mind finds reminders everywhere. It reminds us that reality may be affected by our predispositions and that our perceptions are affected by our history. Excellent art on more levels than many other entries. |

Templeby FromDaRockComment: This falls into the realm of art as exploration of formal elements of design (shapes, space, lines, and the like) as well as stirring emotions aroused by beauty of a human form without evidence of clothing in an unexplained and complicated pose. Also falls into the realm of art as expression of beauty and connection to meanings. |

Are you talking to me?by Catherine_BComment: Sharp capture of interesting expression, enhanced by black and white processing, perhaps technically weakened by what appears to be a sharpening halo along the neck and leg and by absence of the other horn tip. Interesting as character study, less strong as "art" in the sense of expressing emotion, exploring elements of design, or connecting us to non-rational meanings. |

f l a r eby stevieianComment: This image stirs up elements of story (where has the subject been, why is she walking along the road dressed up in an area with rustic porches), and a sense of mystery (why is there an orange shining at the edge of the road, why does the setting seem less real than the subject, ...). The white irregular streak along the left suggests the impact of time in storage on an old printed image, adding another layer of thought. Much to consider, much to appreciate. |

Dreaming Meditationby franktheyankComment: Considerable Wow factor here from the amazing piece of art. The photograph demonstrates excellent handling of textures with a subject well-suited to a square crop. Even the narrow black frame line, a style that I usually find distracting, enhances the image. Hope your notes reveal more about what we are seeing. |

lint lifeby tvsometimeComment: A bit like a portal at an aquarium, bu the critters are on the side with the viewer (so maybe we have a point of view similar to the diver who feeds the fish?). eally well done. |

Dissorderby GeorgesBogaertComment: Good to see the delicate end of the spectrum after seeing others using compacted felt-like lint. |
