Eeek!by JonniboyComment: Hahahaha. I like the blur of the broom, and the clear focus elsewhere. Cats are more effective :-) karma |

Watching scary movie...by Photo JimComment: I think the room needs to be a little darker, just to set the mood. What i like is the way the knifeman is looking at the camera and the victim is not. |

when sparklers attackby queen 91Comment: I think this picture would have been more appealing if the frame had been filled with the young boy, so that the others who were having a good time didn't show. Also, there is something about cutting your subject off at the knees that is disconcerting. It looks like an accident, even if it is on purpose. Something I have found that is effective when taking pictures of young people is to get down "on their level." Having said all of that, this is a good "grab" shot. Way to be at the right place at the right itme. I love the expression on his face, and how it seems that though he's not real pleased with the situation, he will not let go. If this shot is set up, you have a marvelous actor there! |

Potomac Policeby BAMartinComment: Good cropping, color, and focus. I also like the way it is composed. I guess this would be particularly scary if you were doing something you weren't supposed to be doing. :-) |

Facing fearby freetimeComment: Unless you have an unusual fear of metal gratings or painted toenails, I am assuming this is high? Not sure how you could do it, but it needs a little more depth or something to help the viewer see the scale of exactly how high up you are. karmat |

Examination Fear...by wenyaoComment: The negative (?) image is eerie. I think it may have been more effective if there was more of the book (?) in the picture. Right now, it kinda looks like accidental black bumps. karmat |

trappedby heartsdivideComment: The blue sky makes it feel a little too cheerful. Maybe in black and white? |

Please shoot me!by GinaRothfelsComment: Today's headlines can be scary. Interesting depiciton. Good focus throughout the picture. If it was possible to blur the headlines, just a little so they would still be readable, it may have given the picture some depth. Of course, then you would have gotten comments that the blur was bad. Oh well could be worse, I could be reading the newspaper. :-) karmat |

There's something out there.by ttruthComment: I can tell this is supposed to be dark, but it is so dark I can't tell what the details are. The little spots of lights on the left look like little pairs of eyes, don't know if it was intentional or not. |
