I agree, this photo was well staged and beautifully shot, not to mention creative. Should have done better.
07/15/2002 11:48:00 AM
we don't appreciate creativity sometimes, this should be way higher. you deserved at least a top 10 spot.

No, I was not responsible for Barbie's haircut. She was an unwanted Barbie I rescued from who knows what fate.

Great Idea, Good Compostion.

The image, the setup, and the story are all awesome ... but did you shave barbie's head??
07/13/2002 02:18:00 PM
Topical, newsy, but we could ask for more...
07/12/2002 11:33:00 AM
Disturbing photo even more disturbing haircut.
07/12/2002 08:49:00 AM
Hilarious! I like it!

Ohh, bad hair day! Cute and effective. 8 Swash

I fear the headlines and the press more than the dolls
07/10/2002 11:09:00 AM
I personally think the articles alone would've made the point.
07/10/2002 04:31:00 AM
I think the presence of the gun is unnecessary, and in some ways contradicts the basic premise set up by the doll and papers -- the far that the world's collapsing and that "there's no way out." Another perspective is that your title hurts you here -- "Don't Shoot" would work better with the image as-is.

I get all the scary headlines, but the haircut is the REALLY scary thing here:)

great imagination!

this is a very well shot and hilarious but serious statement. i like it.

photo quality = 5, good focus. I like that you can read the text on the articles. meeting challenge = 3. I guess the gun at her head pushes this over the top for me. I think it would have been better without it there. total = 8
07/09/2002 03:51:00 PM
Funny not fearsome. In another task this would score higher.
07/09/2002 03:31:00 PM
creative. I think I get it ;-) Dogman"6"

hmmm. I like the photo quality but I'm unsure of it's message. It seems like there are two separate and conflicting things going on here. 1. Take the guy with the gun out of the picture and she's afraid of the alleged 'world deterioration' and is begging a friend to help her escape. 2. Ignore the world is falling apart background theme and she's begging for her life...she's being cooperative by putting her hands in the air. So, to me...title's off and you should have portrayed a single idea more clearly. I definitely see fear in either situation 1 or 2 so I'll give you a 6 Lisa :)

inapropriat

I'm sure you're photo has great meaning to you, but I'm having trouble connecting the subjects and the title to the background. Very good photo technically though, so I'm adding a point because I'm tired of looking at fuzzy pictures. Shey.

Today's headlines can be scary. Interesting depiciton. Good focus throughout the picture. If it was possible to blur the headlines, just a little so they would still be readable, it may have given the picture some depth. Of course, then you would have gotten comments that the blur was bad. Oh well could be worse, I could be reading the newspaper. :-) karmat

this is neat :) good shot! = 6 - jmsetzler

I like it but I thought I had the corner on putting Barbie in stange places. I think more headlines and photo's of events in the background would be better. Good photo.
07/08/2002 03:06:00 PM
Although I'm not in favor of dolls (personal preference) this is interesting. I like the idea behind it. Maybe a little more emphasis on the newsprints.

funny idea -- extra point from me for adding some humour to the fear challenge.
07/08/2002 12:35:00 PM
very creative thinking, and well executed. Changed your score from an 8 to a 9 and it's one of my top 5
07/08/2002 12:23:00 PM
I am in complete empathy. Good job.
