Anxiety? The bridge appears not only sturdy but also transporting. ;-)

Beautiful photo, very dreamlike. Flawless too.

A very capable treatment, both technically and artistically.

The strong contrast in a b and w photo, however, evokes a somewhat photo-journalistic/documentary feeling, which would accomodate a nightmare better than a dream-like impression. The precise lighting, too, appears to point a greater concern for accuracy than for suggestion or conjecture.

Both subject and setting (plain, almost shabby house or cabin; the rustic, hands-on partial man in denims and work boots) portrayed in this manner, instead lead the viewer to expect 'a job needed doing', i.e. a resolve rather than a nightmare. ??

In the end, my choice is to rate the dignity of this photograph rather than its effective topicality.

Not your average photo.

In my wildest dreams, I cannot imagine a more succesful rendition of the sensation of falling. The effects of viewing this remarkable shot are almost physical!

Since my stock measuring tools (for evaluating images) have been rendered absolutely ineffective if not ridiculed by the manner of this shot, I am voting with heart: > 10 minus 1 (for what I consider a redundant coloured border) > 9

This interpretation, I suspect, will get some flak here for stretching the topic. It is, however, quite a beautiful capture, which I'm rating accordingly. Would a slight change of perspective have resulted in a more pleasing composition with respect to the centred rock or mount? The single grass stem appears just a little too sparse to achieve a fully balanced result.

I also wish the image was a little larger than it is.

Gorgeous.

I don't really mind the unusual placement of the bird leaving the image. Graphically, the arrow-like shape of the bird in an outer corner makes for dynamic composition. The texture (wings and body) appears somewhat (deliberately?) oversharpened, adding a proliferated contrast to the given tedium of the water.

I've never managed to achieve such marked detail on a crow (being so nearly black)!
I am impressed indeed!

A sheer b and w delight, despite the cut-off wing, which does feel a lil odd in such a wonderful capture... ?

Great capture and an example of the dramatic effect of natural light and contrast. The title, too, is poetically inclusive.

Mais oui! Lovely! The spatial emptiness in this photo is absolutely gorgeous.

Boy and toy could be positioned a tad further to the left - to assign a more generous flight path for the plane and to emphasize a classic composition.
I'd consider rotating the image very slightly to level the horizon line...
Ideally, perhaps, the shadow side of the boy could do with more brightness (fill flash?). Yet overall, it is especially the meticulously variable lighting, which is so astounding.

The subtlety of the hue chosen for the image documents fine taste, IMHO.

[It is a 7 on my personal scale (of all I know). I am rating it at 10 in the context of DPC.]
