I thought i left a comment during voting because when i saw this for the first time i got shivers up my back because i have these anxiety type dreams involving bridges and my intention was to photograph a scary bridge like this one but didn't get a chance too. I'm so glad this got a ribbon. Congrats on a fab photo!!

This is one of two shots that I keep coming back to without voting. This shot is just a smudge away from perfect for this challenge. At first I thought that it didn't meet the challenge though. I keep trying to figure out how to make this perfect and don't know what makes me think it's not. The focus is awesome. The DOF is the bomb. The colors give it the feel. The title is it. But my gut tells me it could be just a touch ________. (fill in the blank because I can't figure it out. ) AWESOME SHOT!!! One of my top two!

Man is that a great bridge. What a find. Really like the way you shot it too...the framing, exposure, and the way it fades into black. Ha...good title.

Stunning contrast. Good composition and use of perspective. It leads you into the blackness. The only thing, I would have rotated it only tiny bit clockwise - it\'s kind of leaning towards the left. The Border is OK in this case.

Hmm, love the shot. Odd title choice, it is a placid shot IMO, so fear of water? bridges? Whats at the end of the road (so to speak)? Well done.

Now if there were crocs in the water............ :) Crossing walkways without siderails can be very imposing for a lot of people so I understand where you are going with this and the idea that it goes on forever, if you had managed to crop it a little tighter on the top or been able to disguise the end of the trail better.

Gorgeous composition - full of meaning, I like the light, the shadows - the reflections in the water add dimension, awareness of the surrounding while still making us feel uncertain of where we are or where we are going.

Anxiety? The bridge appears not only sturdy but also transporting. ;-)

Beautiful photo, very dreamlike. Flawless too.

This is a jewel. The well lit walkway leading into a black abiss conveys your message extremely well. If you could have put a blurred figure (person) right near the end of the walkway it would be even better. Winner so far... 9. :)

Nice job. The light part of the water on the left looks like a monster. The crooked pier fading from lightness to darkness really makes me feel apprehensive. The way it seems to go on forever in the frame also works really well. I want to see the other entries before I decide, but this just might be a winner. The only thing I don't like is being able to see part of the horizon where the water meets the background. Wouldn't mind if if was more/less visable.

Super framing. A little dark for me, even for a dream photo, but that S line does wonders!

Very nice picture... You've got it exposed in a way that makes you feel like you're walking off the face of the earth at the end of the dock and it makes for a very powerful picture in my opinion. Good job!

Actually I see calm and peace in this. The option is set, the road is clear, unless you are afraid of the surroundings, it seems like a wonderful place.

Nice use of perspective and texture. A very mysterious shot. My screen would not accomodate the full picture without scrolling, and it seemed as though losing part of the black at the top improved it - a tighter crop might be in order.

The way you've created the effect of the path, still visible, disappearing into the darkness out the back is amazing. For some reason it reminds me of the Twilight Zone, don't ask me why. Excellent composition.
