Sorry you didn't get a higher score. Some people must not like to use their imagination very much. Keep up the good work.

I did not notice the other person in the door the first time I looked at this. you did a good job with cropping IMO by having just the leg and the ax showing makes a person pause.

Scary. You have probably added noise to this image on purpose, so I woun't comment on that. Composition is not bad as my eyes go from the front foot to the axe directly. If you wanted to portray fear, dirty dark feeling of despair, you have succeeded. It reminds me of some scene from X-Files :-)))

Nice shot, good concept but something about it bothered me and I couldn't quite put my finger on it until the 4th time I looked at it. The idea is that the person holding the axe is going to kill the person they are coming up on, correct? I think at that close a range the axe would be in the striking position, I know, I know, picky but that is what was bothering me! ;) Excellent photo otherwise, well done in black and white, good contrast and light.

I'm not sure the image, in and of itself, speaks of murderous intent; it really needs the title to infer that. But the tones are very nice, and the visual clarity is marvelous.

Like the grain. So subtle yet so deadly. Really good job. It could be any farmer, logger or rural scene but the title makes me think of a whole story to go with the picture. Really masterful. Thanks. 10

A very capable treatment, both technically and artistically.

The strong contrast in a b and w photo, however, evokes a somewhat photo-journalistic/documentary feeling, which would accomodate a nightmare better than a dream-like impression. The precise lighting, too, appears to point a greater concern for accuracy than for suggestion or conjecture.

Both subject and setting (plain, almost shabby house or cabin; the rustic, hands-on partial man in denims and work boots) portrayed in this manner, instead lead the viewer to expect 'a job needed doing', i.e. a resolve rather than a nightmare. ??

In the end, my choice is to rate the dignity of this photograph rather than its effective topicality.

Perfect tones and the boots, jeans are really appropriate. Might of kept the white on the left [wood finish] out of the shot. It's a little distracting. Over all I like this.

Woulda been a great journalistic shot, but I'm not sure about the dream-qualities of this. Still, the sheer quality of the shot is enough to give you a 7

Wonderful, you have a good imagination. Love the sepia toning your nightmare has - 10.
