Mostly Harmlessby KimblyComment: I don't really know why, but this photo is one of my 10s this week. I think you did an excellent job with this long exposure. You did a great job of keeping the hitchhiker in focus without blur. I REALLY would like to see a little more back lighting in this photo.. there is enought there to highlight the hitchhiker's back but I think that if the guitar case was accented a little more, there would be much more impact in this photo. You really have to look twice to even notice that it's there... Kudos on a fine job! |

Thunderbirdby a1leyez0nm3Comment: This is a nice automotive photograph. I also know that automobiles travel 'on the road'. This particular shot doesn't give me a sense of being on the road though. As for the photo itself, I would have possibly cropped a tad tighter to remove the windshield that is visible in the upper right corner. The photo is nice.. The challenge interpretation, in my opinion, is weak... |

Carriage Rideby lecalanComment: Nice buggy! I like it... I don't know if your camera has white balance or not... or if it accepts filters.. this shot is a little 'hot' on the exposure... the carriage is screaming at me :) I would have possibly tried to frame this a little closer as well.. *I* don't feel that the road in the foreground would have been a requirement to convey your message in this photo... good shot! |

Saturday Driveby rumttuggerComment: Nice sepia! I bet they were only moving about 5 miles per hour.. I get behind slowpokes like this all the time :) The grain in this photo DOES add to the 'antique' quality offered by this sepia image. |

On the way homeby snoopyComment: Nice mirror shot! Here's a note that may help you with a shot like this in the future... your depth of field (aperture setting) in this shot is deep enough to get the mirror itself in focus. However, the objects that are in your mirror needed MORE depth of field to bring them into sharper focus... when photographing a reflection, your depth of field must be deep enough to cover it as if it was NOT a reflection... The motion blur in this photo also adds a nice effect... good work! |

Here I Amby Ricky CleaveComment: This is a beautiful rose... The composition and everything about this photo is quite nice! I suppose this rose is photographed on the road... The surface looks like asphalt so I guess this shot is qualified for the 'on the road' challenge. I must admit that I don't understand the link between this photo and the challenge topic. I think that this rose could have been photographed under this lighting and in this particular composition on just about any surface.... |
