Day 1 - Seedsby kteachComment: Nicely composed and processed. I love the blend of colors. The background helped a lot. |

talk - day 1 macro by scwalshComment: Nice shot that seems to communicate a message, though I'm not really sure what it is. The light is a bit flat, not that I'm an expert in lighting or could tell you exactly how to fix it. Good start. |

Day 01 - Onionby hajekaComment: Great shot. It would have taken a while to figure out what it was without the title. Nice positive slanting lines and filling the frame with interest. |

Velvert Staghorn Spore - Day 1by sherpetComment: This is just beautiful Shez. You have such sharp focus and beautiful coloring in it. It looks like a nice piece of leather. Thanks for the full plant images and dimensions. I was thinking it was a much smaller area in the macro. |

Day 1- by LMA128Comment: Good composition and very sharp where it should be. I've seen a lot of similar ones at DPC, but they're still interesting. |

Old Flower - Day 1by slaaksoComment: I would have thought it was a dandylion without your description. Nice DOF with very sharp object of the shot. Good representation of flower retirement. |

Day 1: Falling sugar crystalsby johst582Comment: Wow, seeing stuff like this on day one intimidates me from displaying my meager work. However it's about learning new things, so I'll do it anyway. Now gotta go find some stuff to photograph. |

Day Oneby ZeppKashComment: Very nice detail and colors. Good DOF. I'm wondering what the arc of granules is, some of the seed, pollen or whatever from the (trying to think back 100 years to school) pistles or stamens on glass? IMHO it would be better without that stuff. |

Accessibility Sucksby mchalmersComment: Congratulations on your PB. I'm still trying to figure out the guy in the background. It looks like a burglar, but I'm guessing it's someone either opening presents or rushing to work? I can definitely identify with this. I lost my work cell phone while taking pictures in tidepools, and was HOPING it didn't get replaced with a Crackberry. Alas it did, the same model as yours. |

Banned!by levyj413Comment: Excellent creative idea and execution. Minor nit-pick, you didn't line up exactly the same between your original shot printed n the paper multiple times and the final shot as evidenced by the right side of the paper and left side of the head. The 3rd level of paper print seems blown out also. Still an 8 for the creativity and meeting challenge, except for the finger and shine in the hair.. |
