The composition is outstanding. The gradient in the background works really well to help emphasize the subject and the detail in the plant itself is totally sharp.

I love the composition in this image, with the lighter background blending into the tufts and the darker background on the other side. Very well done IMHO.

Love the detail in the plant, but it is the beautiful gradient background that makes it for me. Lovely image.

I so have to take one of these this summer!! I just LOVE the texture of the seeds. The focus is spot on and the composition with the seeds on the left and a dark BG on the right just make for a well balanced shot.

This is wonderful and the DOF is great. Strength and delicacy at the same time.

Wonderful light and details. I like the gradient in the background. Did you use your Canon lens for this?

Your composition is perfect IMO. The DOF is great and the details make your image pop. Not only does your subject make this a very pleasing photo, the background with it's gradulant features from soft white on the left to black on the right top makes your photo unique. Great Job!

Great detail in the seeds and I love the negative space juxtaposed against the curve from the (whatever you call the fuzzy floaty part :)

Edited to mention my wife tells me that stuff is called clock. clock?!? ok, whatever.

For something so simple as this, you have made it so beautiful in the detail composition and textures.....

Very nice control on the DOF and choice of the brown (roots?) as the primary subject. Can you get in any closer? The texture in those things would make for a great abstract in magnification.

Great sharpness, now I know why those seeds so easily stick to things!

And it's great to see how DPC'ers from around the world take pictures from different seasons - we certainly have no dandelions up here yet...

Good composition and very sharp where it should be. I've seen a lot of similar ones at DPC, but they're still interesting.
