Windpowerby Pete02tComment: Nice graphic shot. 3 things I can think of to improve it. (1) wait for the car to move - it does give a sense of scale but looks untidy because it joins the bottom of the front generator (2) move round slightly so that the blades 1/3 of the way up the front generator don't overlap like they do (3) use a polariser to make the sky even bluer |

Canada Liliby tjuneau13Comment: Good composition - maybe including the curve of the stem at the top would have made it even better. |

Panache by KarenBComment: Normally I hate the "cute kid" style of pictures - but this looks like it's taken from a high quality calendar. I've looked hard for something to comment on but it's just too good. |

Lock Repairby tjpierreComment: Techinically very good but just looks a bit too contrived for my taste. I know it's a still life but it looks like a bunch of things very carefully arranged so you could take a picture of them. Don't like the way the top of the key is cropped or the darke area at upper rhs. |

Sleepy foxby JonniboyComment: Thanks for all the comments on this. To clear a couple of things up. The hazy area in top left is not glass - it's part of a chain link fence. I was shooting the foxes from a distance at F5.6 but this one was pretty close to me so I had to stop down to F13 to get eyes and nose sharp and this caused a ghost from the fence. I have others without the ghosting but preferred the composition of this one. Yellow flower was there on purpose as I thought the colours were a bit too dull without it. It's also out of focus on purpose as I thought a sharp bright yellow flower would be too much. Having said that, looking at it a week on I afree it's a bit too distracting. Patella, not sure what the green tinit is. I hadn't noticed it until you mentioned it but I've checked it on 2 monitors and you're right! BTW, Nikkor 80 - 400 VR lens is awesome! Focal length was probably about 150mm equivalent, shutter was 1/20 and it's pretty sharp! |

Boaby bobgaitherComment: I hate to sound harsh - this is a fairly competant snapshot. If the too girls had been looking at the camera then it would have been a very competant snapshot. Apart from that and too much dof and an untidy background there's nothing really wrong with it. However, snapshots are seldom great pictures. This would probably be very appealing to parents/friends of the girls but doesn't rate highly in a competition. |

Nature's Eyeby siggithorComment: Nice! Great shutter speed to catch the water like this. Looks like you need a sturdier tripod though as the whole picture is a bit soft which looks like motion blur. |

Flareby GordonComment: Love the negative space. Would have been a 10 if you hadn't clipped the rhs! |

Feeling the Soul of Jazzby TomNTexasComment: Love the composition - would have been even better if the bow didn't cross his eye like that - wait for him to use one of the other strings? |

Dock at Twilightby bdshortComment: Nice shot - would have been s-o-o-o-o much better without the life ring at the lhs |
