I've never seen these...wonder what they are. Nice color.Gravel road is distraction.

Nice graphic shot. 3 things I can think of to improve it. (1) wait for the car to move - it does give a sense of scale but looks untidy because it joins the bottom of the front generator (2) move round slightly so that the blades 1/3 of the way up the front generator don't overlap like they do (3) use a polariser to make the sky even bluer

I really like this except for the car. I think it would be much improved to crop the bottom or compose from a higher vantage point.

Nice color and pattern.

Love the angle and the idea... There is a windmill farm near me that I'd like to photograph one day... Don't think you've captured enough of the essence of your subject to make this a memorable shot. Either do it with more windmills, I'd suggest, or perhaps fill the frame more with the ones you have.

The car in this shot helps a LOT. Really gives the thing a scale.

Car and street and power lines are distracting. Close up on few "propellers" could be far more effective.

I was just reading an interesting article about new types of wind turbines.

different, but doesn't grab me

Shame about the car being there.

GOOD.....

the car at the bottom gives a nice sense of perspective.. nice

Car's distracting
07/16/2002 04:41:00 PM
Poor picture quality ruins this nice shot.
07/16/2002 03:30:00 PM
hmm i think i like the other one better. although this one adds mistery
07/16/2002 02:34:00 PM
would have been better without the car in pic .. but, still an awesome shot - g04t

The car and the road are really distracting.
07/16/2002 10:55:00 AM
nice picture - would have scored more highly if the car was not there.
07/16/2002 10:15:00 AM
It's tough to give this a high score with those power lines and the car.

Doesn't really work for me - an interesting location but I'm not sure you've isolated it as well as you could ? Perhaps moving further 'in' to the scene, so that you don't catch the phone lines and then getting just the 5 at the back in a row ? Try playing with the geometric/ pattern relationship between these generators and something might come from it
07/16/2002 08:17:00 AM
A different angle would have worked better to eliminate the vehicle, and a slower shutter speed to catch the motion of the windmills.
07/15/2002 11:21:00 PM
That car has to go!
07/15/2002 10:56:00 PM
I like everything about this photo except the car... that just doesn't look right to me.. :) = 5 - jmsetzler

i'd prefer to not see the car. i'd also prefer more symetry, or the singling out of 1 wind mill. it just seems too random.
07/15/2002 07:21:00 PM
The car is a real distraction from an otherwise nice photo
07/15/2002 07:13:00 PM
I would like this so much better without the ground or car. If it was the pole and sky areas up that would make this a 10
07/15/2002 02:39:00 PM
Nice but not very interesting. Your color, focus and DOF is good. Maybe if the gravel street in front had been cropped a little tighter it would of pulled the viewer in more. Kee

A lovely shot. Three things that I think are less than wonderful....The power line running through the shot could be considered added information (power line/power gathering towers...), but I find it distracting. Your primary subject, the pole in the front, center timed poorly, one vein is almost fully in line with the tower, hiding it. Third, tempting as it may be to want a field of wind towers, I think a single tower would have been more effective. All that said, I still like this shot. 7 Swash

nice... but why the car!?
07/15/2002 11:24:00 AM
Very echo tech and you almost have the 'S' curve thing going but this picture does not grab me and say WOW!
07/15/2002 07:47:00 AM
The car gives this shot great perspective.
07/15/2002 04:30:00 AM
i drove by there last week :)
07/15/2002 02:11:00 AM
not sure if its your car or not, it doesnt help the picture,
07/15/2002 01:22:00 AM
Good shot. The image is only 32k, and you're allowed 150k... it's worth it to use as much of that as you can. I think it would have looked better if the car wasnt in the shot, and if you had maybe gotten a bit closer to the windmills.
