I love macro shot

Good focus. A very clear picture. I think its cropped a little too close on the left and right though.

Techinically very good but just looks a bit too contrived for my taste. I know it's a still life but it looks like a bunch of things very carefully arranged so you could take a picture of them.
Don't like the way the top of the key is cropped or the darke area at upper rhs.

Seems a little dark and lacking contrast.

This is not jumping out to me - maybe the overall tone is a little dull and needs a little more contrast - my opinion - but otherwise pretty interesting photo. Good work.

good still life.

I especially like the magnification through the eyeglass lens...
07/17/2002 12:45:00 AM
ermm..what has the glasses got to do with the lock repair?
07/16/2002 11:50:00 AM
A bit too tight on the crop.

There seems to be something behind the glasses that's obscructed. The left side of the glasses and the right side of the key seem to be arbitrarily cut off. And there's a strange dark upper right corner. Other than that, it seems like it has potential for an interesting photograph.

Nice composition. I like your shot, just cropped a bit tight. Kee

Is this a second attempt at the 'Transparency Challenge" ;-)
Technicals are right on, Wow factor needs some work, I like these kinds of things too, but my wife is not going to let me frame this photograph and hang it on the wall.

Nice Detail

Fine work! (double entantre sp?) Nicely executed, my only minor issue the parts magnified by the glasses are ALL magnified, I have NO imagination, so I would like to have seen one at normal size. (see, really minor ....) I think I would have liked all of the subjects (cropped the head of the key, part of the glasses and the tool nobody can clearly see behind the glasses) This was a ten, until I picked it apart, sorry. 8 Swash
BTW - what is the tool in the far background?
07/15/2002 02:04:00 PM
Excellent clarity and design

not very sharp, and a boring subject.
