Nice snap of a couple of girls holding the boa. Wish you could have done a macro on its skin. Or maybe even a close-up that showed some snake and some of one of their hair and neck. However, since they're not looking at the camera, I'm guessing they don't nkow you and this was just an opportune time to shoot. The background is so light -- you did a good job keeping them out of the shadows. They look a little soft on the focus, but nothing that I could feel justified in ranting to you about. :-)

This is how these young ladies have fun? While an interesting shot, it could be improved with some sharpening, which should be done after resizing. It would also help if the background were blurred by using a low f/stop, which I realize isn't possible with all cameras nor very effective with many due to small CCDs.

this snake could eat both of these girls!

wow!

Casual

I'd give this one a six.
It just looks like a picture that you would take with a disposable camera.

Chicks with snakes!!! I love it

I hate to sound harsh - this is a fairly competant snapshot. If the too girls had been looking at the camera then it would have been a very competant snapshot. Apart from that and too much dof and an untidy background there's nothing really wrong with it. However, snapshots are seldom great pictures. This would probably be very appealing to parents/friends of the girls but doesn't rate highly in a competition.

Interesting subject. Not the best angle or composition.

I don't like snakes. I've met too many poisoness ones in the wild. Nothing to laugh about. One like this ate my neigbor's chicken.

Photo is composed nicely, and the lighting is good. Although this has nothing at all to do with the image's quality, I must say I am concerned about exotic animals being out of their environment. They require very special needs. Of course this may be in a zoo or something. I see a stamp on one of the young lady's hand. I hope that is the case. Ok....stepping off my milk crate now....oooooops...I fell! No offense I hope. Nice job with your photo.... :-)

It looks like they're posing for someone else...?

Get rid of the background. Iamge also needs better light.
07/18/2002 08:13:00 AM
no feet? cropping closer might have enhanced this photo
07/17/2002 10:28:00 PM
Lovely memory I'm sure and nice for the family album but there is nothing interesting about the photo as such, is it?
07/17/2002 06:10:00 PM
ambigous.
07/17/2002 02:54:00 PM
these two girls look a lot like two of my former students. (I am trying not to look at the snake!) I prefer feather boas, so these gals have my respect. :-)
There is a little too much clutter in the background, for me. karmat

good subject. lighting a little washed out.
07/17/2002 10:52:00 AM
Nice Yellow Anaconda...
07/17/2002 03:17:00 AM
i would try to focus on something in particular to make this more interesting. like zooming into the snake only, or cropping to show the expressions of the girls withthe snake on them.
07/16/2002 05:58:00 PM
boas
07/16/2002 01:48:00 PM
I would like to have the subjects aranged diferently. Especially the snake. Otherwise good shot.

Snapshot. Sorry.
07/16/2002 07:02:00 AM
the girl is beautiful without the snake...
07/15/2002 10:54:00 PM
hmmm, looks like a Yellow Anaconda to me!
07/15/2002 10:52:00 PM

Cool snake, great color for the ladies, but the snake seems overly dark. (and a bit of a crotch hound) 7 Swash

Youre not going to get me near that thing :-)
This is a nice snapshot.

This works for the FEAR challenge too. Nice snap, looks like you have two models in the making and brave too!! Kee
07/15/2002 10:44:00 AM
great framing, but it still feels to much like a snapshot. 6
07/15/2002 10:38:00 AM
I didn't know boas were such a babe magnets :)
07/15/2002 01:51:00 AM
Too me, the composition of the shot doesnt really make the snake stand out. Maybe if you tried getting a shot of just one of the girls with the snake, with the head in a more visible position. 6

This would have been good for "Fear"--If they were afraid of the snake *5* --balynch
