LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! All those different blue tones are just beautiful and the postcard format really works to give a sense of "foreign" place, at least for me. As I am looking at this, over 35cm of snow are being called for here... Your slice of life and mine could not be further apart...

It's a nice slice of life anyway. I would love to see the hand fully extended but I know what you mean when you say you only hoped for the best... That's pretty much my feeling ANY time I go through a toll - see, we don't have those in Quebec anymore and they make me nervous. All those cars coming at once to pass through only a small number of openings, and what would happen if I don't throw the coins correctly and have to get out of the car? Will they honk at me? People are so impatient these days...

I really, REALLY like this shot. The texture (used perfectly IMO), the begging look of the dog, the perspective, the border and the nice, fine print... it all ties together perfectly. A great job!

I really like the lighting on the martini and the glowy froth on top. I am not sure about the multiple textures in the back - a bit busy for me. Nice choice of color on your overlays though.

Nice PP. I would have thought it was much older too, given the look of the stone walls. I agree with Waddy MelonMusketeer about the clipped gable. Bt you would have lost the base of the lamp post... Tough call!
