i went to hang out the washing before going out for a medicinal walk for the endorphins .. this robberfly was on the washing line .. my camera was handy because i take it for a walk with me on the firetrail ..
used the photograph of the windscreen going thru the car wash again as an overlay ..
thanks to vtruan coz i had given this the title of 'dragonfly' because it looked like one to me .. i googled robberflies after van's comment and realised that it wasnt a dragonfly at all ..
OK - I'm going to go against the others and suggest that maybe the overlay is a bit too much on this one. This guy's face is really interesting on its own; I think the busy-ness of the overlay competes with him.
Wow - this is fabulous. I'm actually getting used to bugs because of your beautiful photos. The overlay is perfect for this and the wash line is amazingly crisp and sharp. Beautiful colors, too.
This is great Roz. I really like the contrast of the washing line's texture with the sharpness of the bug. Question: how can you get your overlay texture to be sharp just in areas where the underlying image is?
