You are right, the light kind of washed out your arm... however, it works, the focus is taken off of you and put on your "reach" :D

My eyes are alllllmost that exact same color! You might try a B&W :) I get the weirdest effects that way because my eyes are so blue. This is a nice soft photograph though... I hope you feel better tomorrow! I am looking forward to seeing more of your mug :)
