The light is intresting & models her features beautifully. Nice catchlights in the eyes, too. The triangle-shape of bright white under her left elbow & the shadow or stain on the drape behind her combine to make a ghostly quality that adds to the charm. 7

This looks like a photo that you would see in a magazine as part of an interview. I like the way you caught the "person". Fresh, and unique in this challenge. Nicely done.

Great capture. Her environment really adds alot to the image - not that she isnt interesting on her own. The patterns of the tablecloth and wall hanging along with the wine bottle and plant just give this a great artistic feel to it. Verynice. 8

Lovely subject - but framing/composition seems too centered & I would have preferred her positioned further right in the frame. I love all the patterns in the picture & a little boost in contrast would have helped bring all the textures out. << 7 >>

works well with the background.

This is a classic portrait. Not a studio shot, it has 'life' that often gets lost in set-piece traditional head shots. You were also able to bring so much of the detail out that it really adds to the shot. Great range of tones. I've looked at this a bunch of times and I'm bumping this up. Great image!

Beautiful portrait of a beautiful woman;however, I don't like how her left hand is positioned.

While there are other entries with visible background, most were just distracting from the subject, this portrait has a background that is not only subtle and appealing but tells a story and enhances this wonderful image! Oh what wonderful work!

Fantastic! The centered composition really works in this photo and the background objects give it balance. Good job!

Seems a little too bright to me. I think you can darken/contrast the photograph some more.

I would like to see this portrait score high. The lighting is tad too hard but I like her expression, especially the hands. 8.

Interesting. After seeing so many portraits with a lot if not excessive shallow DoF I encounter this one which is completely the opposite. The result is striking. As a personal portrait I think it should work wonderfully, however I am not too sure if it appeals generally. The hand and background seems too distracting, the expression is not clear in its emotional effect. Feels slightly posed, maybe... In conclusion, an out of the ordinary picture that stands out from the rest - this means an 8 maybe 9 after looking all.

Lovely shot with a beautiful subject. Would have been far better with some enhanced contrast and some creative editing to lighten that far wall.

Nice portrait... I like the way you've included some of her surroundings and the gesturing is very good. The burnt out highlights on her face is not good though...
