Deer Runby yankoComment: I think that the puddle of light below the deer really helps to make this image a good one. Beautiful capture, and it woud not be nearly so good if it were tack sharp. It captures the spirit of the animal well. |

Intimate Waters Flow...by AgaricusComment: Beautiful place, and it is so nice that you enjoy and respect the area so much. You seem to like shooting landscapes, and you do it well. This would make a very nice vertical if you had a wide enough lens to get to the tops of the trees behind the falls.
Well done. |

Barred owl babyby WinkComment: Nice image. I am happy that you included the surroundings in this shot for scale and contrast. The curve of the limb fits well.

Houston Fireworksby signal2noiseComment: Great fireworks shot. It would be fun to clone in a "Buck Rogers" looking space ship or rocket where the middle burst is at the top. |

View from the bench 37by zardozComment: That is a good challenge. The Micro Nikkor is the right lens for this shot, and you have found a subject that fits it's abilities very well. Excellent focus, and shallow DOF at this range make this a very pleasing image. I reach for my Micro Nikkor 55 manual focus when things seem to be getting dull, and the boredom is always gone in just a few minutes. It always impresses me that the lens can see things that I certainly can't with my eyes, like the little hook claws on the ends of the bee's legs. |

Sod Housesby BAMartinComment: This is just a beautiful place, and you have captured the essence of the countryside very nicely with this image. It makes me wonder about the lives of the people who lived in the houses. |

Forest-Redux.jpgby APComment: The duotone is great. It is much stronger than the original color image to me. It reminds me of the Disney movie "Fantasia" . |

Turbulenceby ShutterPugComment: It's a classic Great Lakes scene captured in this shot! Very well done, and love the ice and dramatic cloud formation over the scene. I am wondering how I missed seeing this shot, as I have visited your portfolio many times.
It seems odd that no one without a camera voted on this image. |

Light Gardenby SteveinnzComment: This is a great idea, and it makes excellent color images too.
1 stop less exposure would make the colors more saturated and reduce the brightness of the light bulbs.
Beautiful just like it is. |
