this is a totally cheating square crop because i just re-scaled the entire image and made the width a lot smaller .. this is looking up the firetrail towards my house ...
as you can see the council workers havent completed the job of fixing it up .. its a real pain because i have friends who live sort'v behind me as i'm taking this photograph and they have to leave their cars at the top, you can see one up there, and walk down to their house .. its quite a long way and in the dark there are no street lights and its very rough ..

Yep, they really fixed the trail didn't they? That's a mess of clay and sand you have there in your back yard. I know how much you love to trek up and down it, and it looks like tough walking this season, and will be very rough even after it dries. I hope that they smooth it out some for you later. This is a pretty shot, other than the messy trail. I almost can feel the mud between my toes when looking at the image.

I JUST got what a fire trail is. Since I've known you, you talk about the famous fire trail and in the back of my mind I'm always thinking, what IS it... what IS it...?

Some of those old synapses just fired - so yay.

And it looks nice and wild there. What are they fixing exactly?
