Kaaba in Meccaby bongeeComment: Conflicted feelings viewing this. On the one hand I've always been very curious, on the other hand I strongly suspect you are not supposed to photograph this. Would like to know. |

The Gatheringby shamerComment: One of the best of this type I've seen, maybe the best. Alway drawn to this type in painting and photog, but often on closer inspection feel disappointed because I feel something has been faked or pushed too far. Yours seems just right - don't know if it is the light on the clouds, or even just having the clouds and the way they belong to or emanate from the mountains, because this is what seems to tie the mountains to earth, so to speak, and makes it not just an abstract. Awesome, to me, black and white. |

Beauty And...Outtakeby hotpastaComment: This also speaks. Nice effect of him being contained in the arch of her garment seam, the whiteness of which is echoed in his running shoe soles. |

Missing the Parents' Houseby inutzaComment: I like this. I guess because I find homely things, common things of great interest, and you have found and showed the interest in this scene. I like the title; if it means what I think it means, it has great poignancy for me. (You have done really well with your Canon Powershot, by the way). |

Maidenby grigrigirlComment: Not that you need another comment in the 10 ballpark... Reminiscent of Julia Cameron: the hair(which is fabulous along with dress - they both transmute to magic in the water) and the light give it the pre-Raphael feel; yet the composition is original and fabulous. Subtlety and restraint in title. |

CJby ustiebitzComment: Excellent bw. Very interesting portrait: the unusual angle makes this into a real "head" shot - almost a severed head - and makes the viewer really see the face. Or something like that. Engaging at any rate. Hope to see more portraits. |

Coachby cabaComment: Well done. Just enough of light and dark, texture and void. Oh yes, and good face and expression. Message edited by author 2007-07-25 23:42:53. |
