Week 8: Mysterious Maryby jasonlpriceComment: I find this a fine celebration of the ordinary. I know that doesn't sound grand, but I like it - celebrating the ordinary. The use of the available light to show us just so much, from what is close to blown to what is in obscurity, gives us all we need to know about this moment in Mary's day. |

Invictusby xianartComment: Okay, this one I didn't see coming, although I do have and treasure an original sketch and watercolour titled Invictus. Good posture, imaginative overlay with lighting very nice match to poem. |

Tea for Oneby MelethiaComment: Stands on its own. Great story. (Guess you didn't really need those umlauts after all). |

leaf manby tnunComment: Oh. Bruce_the_Robert, "Only then to be one piece of the discovery" really gets to me. Never thought of an historical dimension, of the incredible pretension of all "great" civilization. Thomas King, in his relatively recent Massey Lectures talks about the difference between stories, or story, in N. American Native culture and in Western civilization which he says is based on an either/or logic; I would add also on a "thing" logic.
And JerseyGenie, the suggestion of "theatrical mask," is brilliant. Also putting us closer to Japanese and other Asian traditions as well as Native ones. Transformation is a great theme.
I am moved.

Dinghyby tnunComment: Yes, pretty sure it does have a tilt; remember wondering how/if I might crop it, but just wanted only so much/just enough dock and line detail. |

Lund lightsby puzzledComment: Very complex. Held together by the receding row of lights and the soft colours. Rather a triumph, and delightful to view. |
