I really like this perspective..from the top down. I agree with your "vision" of the abstract feel too..it really works and the big grin is perfect. Very well seen and captured.

I like the contrast that you have captured between the flower petal and background. The tones seem very good to me as well. I'm not a fan of this composition however..it just seems to static. I'm also wishing that I could see more detail in the center flower. I think perhaps a hard vertical line (like a stem or another flower) or an off center positioning would have helped.

Awesome capture Sandy! I hope this isn't the week we are supposed to be critical because it would be hard on this shot. I think the tilted composition really makes this pop...well that and the great b/w tones. I do prefer this one over the color, but strangly enough I like the color thumbnail better. I don't know what that means, just an obersvation! That 70-200 L is amazing! I gotta get me one....

Those are some mighty beautiful colors! I'm such a sucker for warm tones...9 Ps. I like the composition as well and the "just enough" lines to draw attention throughout the photo as well so it isn't just your colors I like.

Edit, well I'm back already and I gotta say this deserves a 10 rather than 9.

I've only voted on 7 of these blurry messes so far, but I really like this one the best. The blur has purpose which enhances the scene. I can feel the kid's emotions from this.

You definitely got all those elements in there! Initially I wanted to vote this down..well maybe a 5 or 6, but now that I've soaked it in I'm starting to appreciate it's genius more....
