My six year old, Caleb. I like this, because of the abstract feel and it is so obvious that he has a big grin on his face... to me, anyhow. I can't even remember what we were doing exactly, but often with my kids, I just get the camera out and start shooting often.

PP - cropping, adjust levels & contrast, desat, use photo filter for slight warming effect, clone out a couple of cookie crumbs, USM, reduce noise, some blur tool.

Nice angle, Bud. This and your other pictures demonstrate the importance of family, and that is as good as it gets.

I like the angle of this. DOF is very nice, emphasises the softness of his eyelashes.

This is SO interesting, Bud! It does have a sophisticated abstract feel to it -- but the grin is delightfully unexpected and gives it a playful, happy feel to it. Fantastic job creating such a cool photo.

An interesting view! And it's definitely apparent that he's smiling. I like the way it makes his cheeks look - that smile.

I really like this perspective..from the top down. I agree with your "vision" of the abstract feel too..it really works and the big grin is perfect. Very well seen and captured.

Photos like this tend to become family heirlooms. Bring this out to show his first girlfriend.

I like the abstract feeling and yet the photo easily gets a message and feeling across. I think I may have brightened it a bit, but thats just what I would have done, I think it works very well the way it is also.
