 I was off work Friday (March 7th) and lucked out b/c it just happened to be the only day it snowed here. I was looking at the challenges, and I saw the blurred mess challenge description, and I did not think anything about it. I called a friend of mine that had the cutest little kids she was babysitting and asked if she wanted to get outand shoot some. So we did. I threw it into manual mode and tried a few slower shutter speed shots to capture snow movement, and when I saw the viewfinder on this image, I knew I was going to enter it into this challenge. I think it will do well, but who knows ;) we'll see!

hey everyone, thanks so much for the wonderful comments. i realy enjoyed editing this one up, and shooting it as well. at first i was let down by the score on this one, but i'm ecstatic that i scored in the top 20 in this challenge. i really appreciate the time that was taken by many of you leaving me a comment on this image. thanks so much!

Very nice effect, here - it make me feel as if sleet is stinging my eyes. I want to duck my head right along with him/her. 9

I like this alot. It definitely invokes a lonely feeling. It's blurry and the snow adds the chaos. I give an 8 and may bump upon further review. Upon further review I am bumping this to 9

Simple, yet so beautiful. It's perfectly balanced... light/dark... colour. The blurriness adds to the image... makes it stronger. Well done.

It's only ever a child that you see never being too cold to play outside. I love the snow you captured and maintained, lovely colors, and nice smile (or so it appears). A lovely picture of childhood captured.

I've only voted on 7 of these blurry messes so far, but I really like this one the best. The blur has purpose which enhances the scene. I can feel the kid's emotions from this.

Good sense of a snow storm, works quite well .... maybe would benefit a little from even more snow but difficult to get I guess!!
