Taste The Rainbowby sh0rtyComment: Nice and bright, and the sweets stand out well against the black background, but the composition as a whole is undynamic, and doesn't draw me in. You have chosen an ultra shallow depth of field - I would have preferred if the only sweet in focus wasn't dead centre in the frame, but at the third line, eith er top or bottom. |

Abstract Flowby Bruce_the_RobertComment: I like the almost cross-hatched texture of this abstract. It is a bit of a shame the purple/pink hasn't merged in to the rest, as it draws the eye. |

Rings in greenby MelethiaComment: I saw this was yours and opened it up to leave a comment to the effect that you had finally found something to photograph that wasn't beige - and then I read your description.....! |

Daddy Longlegsby artvetComment: In England the insect that we call a Daddy Longlegs is a type of crane fly - always takes me aback when different nations use the same words for different things! This is a super composition of an unusual insect (certainly one I have never seen before); the blue background acts as a good foil for the main subject, particularly with the interesting lighting on its legs and on the top of the seed head. It is a shame that you haven't been able to reflect a bit more light on to the subject, as it is a little dark on my monitor (admitedly uncalibrated).

Mantidaeby JovanComment: These insects never fail to fascinate me - it must be so bizarre coming across one! This photo is really well framed, and I particular the diagonals formed by the antennae. legs and head. |
