The Rare Beauty of a Black Swanby jonfrommkComment: Jon - very well captured image. The bow of this proud bird to you is a true sign of respect - I am sure there are those that would have liked a bit more face - but I find the lines really quite well captured. |

Pelicans in the Mistby noranekoComment: Catherine - you did an excellent job capturing this gangly and awkward looking birds in flight - what a sight they are to behold |

Street at Night (b&w 2008 #2)by nikolaosComment: there is a cleanliness about this image -in spite of the graffiti - that jumps out at me. the placement of the man strolling out or home or...adds a nice humanity to the image |

Sunday Afternoonby tnunComment: the big window, the love or all house bound dogs
i find this image very interesting - the super high contrast works so well, especially since we can still glimpse a bit of detail of the face of the dog |

Pathway to the City-Week 2by of-snowComment: repeating lines in the posts, fence, benches, and trees takes us in to the image easily - but the almost off kilter angle of the shot makes be a bit dizzy |

02 - Bridge and Birdsby ErikVComment: the old time train bridge really provides a great frame for the birds...hey...i think you have satisfied like two or three challenges in this single shot...
you get the prize for most shots on goal with a single shot |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment: i agree with the two other comments - the main light is soft but that works well to provide her a flattering look - the light from down low seems to harsh and generates harsh highlights on her chin
this is really pretty close - maybe a bit of diffuser on the lower light would work to emphasize her features without overwhelming them |
