nice control of focus on this one - and congrats on the new cam
the image itself seems a bit flat - i think it is the gray background that doesn't quite separate from the guitar as well as white or black would do |

Congrats on the new camera!
The photo came out nice, I would have like to see some more contrast maybe. Also whenever I see wood or clouds I want to dodge and burn all the grain . :) |

Congrats on the new camera :)
I like the composition but would have preferred a little more sharpness on the wood grain.

Yes. . .I love rebelling against that rule of thirds thing -- it is made to be broken. And I will chime in and say this dead-centered might even be more badass than it already is :)
Congratulations on your new camera. How fun! And we get to see lots of more photos with it. Yayyy! :)

congrats on the new camera! cool shot but I agree with Sonifo that I think this would be nice centered, make sure that you tell them she told you so too. |

Positioning within a frame, separation of subject from non-subject, is what I think and learn about from your photo. You also remind me that the rhythmic repetitions of objects (such as the machine heads) can be useful in composition. |

hahaha! you are the bomb. ;) I would center the guitar. Don't listen to people about the rule of thirds on something like this. Center is always better and tell them I said so. :0) |

Simple composition, works graet. As other have said, a little bit dark, don't hesitate to bump the histogram to the right.

A bit dark, but the composition is great. Some contrast boosting would really help this shot. |

LOL! Congrats on the new camera! Have fun with it - shoot lots, experiment lots! This looks a touch dark on my monitor but it tends to run darkish. |
