215 Kilby Rd.by zeuszenComment: i agree with hopper on this one - this is an excellent shot, fantastic vision to see the light, and was sorely under appreciated. i am not at all troubled by the pole and transformer. in fact i think it tells a wonderful story of how civilization has expanded and grown in a rather uncivilized way |

The Power Behind The Pedalby jonfrommkComment: Excellent concept shot. I like the fact that you have connected the shot to the bike and used shallow DOF to focus our attention on the driving force. The exposure is pretty solid, but the lighting seems a bit flat.
One area where I would adjust the shot is the crop. I think the square crop really hurts you here. A portrait orientation could elongate our focus more on the leg. Also, I am not sure about the perspective - more of an angle shot (using a tripod and a timer to get the shot) may have actually given this a more flattering view of the muscles in the leg. That is a serious calf, but it could further be exemplified with a side view. |

Week 14 - Zwaanwijckby hajekaComment: the leading lines of the path, the brightness of the tea house and the placement of the house in the background is excellent - i just wonder if this image was a bit oversharpened |

Separate Livesby GermaineComment: it is interesting how even when relatively close in proximity, people can appear and act as if they are the only ones in the world - the high degree of gray in the image emphasizes this sense of separation |
