great shot ... i really like your expression .. and i'm wondering wot sort of car you're leaning on and whether its yours ?? .. it looks like a classic car ?? ..
i bought a shutter release cable ages ago but i've never used it .. i started reading the manual etc etc and then lost interest .. i'm not very photogenic and thats probably part of the reason i didnt persevere ...
i hope you dont mind but i copied one of your gorgeous possum photographs into judy jutilda's photograph of her son looking at the girl next girl trying to coax a squirrel to her .. i'll copy her's here so you dont have to go hunting for it .. being busy with your studies and all !!


edit a minute later after posting .. i was just reading your checklist and noticed the line about the bus and the dodge dart '72 .. spose that might answer my question about the car !!

Day 45 - Growing Up

funny shot .. and interesting ... our gorgeous children can lose that beautiful innocence and childlike wonder as they grow up .. but hopefully that loss is balanced out by other positive changes as they mature .. thank goodness it happens very gradually otherwise we'd be bowled over by the changes !!!!! .. my daughter is 18 .. on the positive side, i can now take photographs from the passenger seat instead of endangering all road users when i try and drive and take photographs at the same time .. !! .. did i say that ?? ... woops .. :)

FUNNY !!!!!!! .. and i like your colour scheme !! ..
we are very much into that sort'v humour in our house .. we have an old dog who is particularly smelly .. altho having said that its only funny looking back when the odour has actually gone .. then we laugh about how we had to open windows AND DOORS and hold perfumed hankies against our noses .. of course we live in fear, expecting the next unpleasant experience .. we'd stick her outside but that'd be cruel coz of her age .. the things we do eh !!:)

Day 33 Frozen Ant

OMG .. i thought i was crazed .. you really take the cake ..
i must try the ice trick .. as a child i used to get a magnifying glass .. i wont continue because i might offend some ppl .. i have totally grown out'v such sadistic pastimes .. i reckon the ice is a much more friendly and painless way of exterminating them .. maybe i'll try the magnifying glass when they're comatose from the ice .. that way they wont revive when the ice melts .. trouble is that we sometimes get so many ants that i'd be freezing and magnifying them for at least a billion years .. i would prefer to be taking photographs .. much like yourself .. :) .. and unless chuck has lots of eyeballs i dont see how he could be watching me right now AND YOU AS WELL .. ahhhhhhhh .. those one's in the glass must be the left over ones .. :) .. and if you can make perfect sense of everything i've written you would definitely need to committed, along with your friend chuck .. :)

i'm thinking old chuck may'v cut those designs in the glass with his teeth .. is he a personal friend of yours or wot ??!! ..
and now i'm thinking that you're leading us astray and those arent ping pong balls at all .. they are ppl's eyeballs and chuck has sucked the colour right out'v them .. maybe i should delete that last bit coz ppl may think i'm a bit crazed .. no .. i'm crazed enough not to worry .. :)

i used to be very nervous taking photographs in public especially when i was by myself .. i'm still a bit nervous, but most of the time ppl are really nice .. even when i'm told to put my camera away at the local mall, because they think i might be some mad bomber, they're usually pretty nice about it !!!!!!!!!
