 Yep, another papermill shot. But hey, we've only got 5 days left, so . . .

Taken at night, duh. I think it was a 25 or 30 second exposure at f22 or so. Post processing included a touch of brightening, sharpening, and contrast (ing?) in RAW, then clarify in PSP, cropping and resizing.

How this relates to my daily life -- at the CC where I work, we do testing for the Employment Security Comm. when factories and whatnot are getting ready to hire. This mill is getting ready to hire a few people, and they require a certain score on a test that I help the applicants prepare for. Since the test is tomorrow, work today was helping a bunch of people get signed up for the test.

Sweet! The lights really glow with the long exposure. Even though industries can be a blot on the landscape, they can also be quite beautiful in the right light (or darkness).

just brilliant .. love the smudgey lights and the beautiful colourful contrasts .. night photography can really yield the most amazingly gorgeous images .. this is certainly one of them .. :)
