Miles Away From Ordinaryby bdennyComment: Nice composition; definitely getting the idea of relaxing on a beach with a Corona. The blue water sets off the gold of the beer nicely. |

moo.com - walking out of the sea of bland business cardsby hopperComment: What kind of business would use a picture like that ... never mind; I don't want to know. Interesting idea but I don't think I would want a card that was significantly smaller than what other people hand out, even if it did have a pretty picture on it. Your composition is nicely done and I like the lighting and shadows, though. |

"Street Sugar"by Joker1114Comment: Not really getting what this is selling. Sorry. Diagonal composition is nice and the crystals echo the background blue so I can appreciate it as an abstract sort of shot. |

Sprite!by jere2201Comment: Good idea to include the filled glass with ice to look more appealing. I would suggest a few changes - move the glass and bottle farther from the background, smooth out the background wrinkles, use a less shiny background if you have one, and put a light on the other side to reduce or eliminate the shadows. |

It's Miller Timeby lear202btComment: Like the DOF and simplicity. Reminds me of the view I would get if I put my eye right near the bottle without my glasses on! Might play with some different crops or angles for more interest. |

Car Graveyardby UrfaKComment: I like the subject, but I think there is a little too much detail in the background and it takes away from the cars. Getting closer or using a shallower DOF might make them stand out better. Or, crop out most of what is above the fence to emphasize the cars and weeds. Maybe play with dodge and burn to make them stand out more, too. |

Tundraby lunachickenComment: Hmm. Pretty scene and lovely blue to the sky. I like the mountains. The crop does feel like there's a bit too much sky because the clouds are not very dramatic. I think I would like to see more detail in the foreground. Not tons, but a little. It's too solid and dark for the rest of the scene IMO. |

Web of Woodby Donna21Comment: This is not the kind of shot I can scroll up and down to see if I like a different crop! It's making me dizzy even when it's not moving ::yikes:: I think it's the wood pattern radiating behind the white woodwork. It's really quite fascinating to look at.
Don't know why it didn't do better; maybe you just made it look too easy to get! |

Winter Berriesby cpanaiotiComment: Oooh, great minds think alike . Same title, even!
Mine didn't do exceptionally well in its challenge, either, so my opinion might not help much. I love your colors, bokeh and DOF, but I do tend to like angled compositions better. |

Winter Waterfrontby NikonJebComment: Doinking?! That's some unique PP program you've got there, mister.
The scene is lovely, no question. I would like to see more of the detail on the house, just 'cuz I LOVE stone houses. Lots of character. I wonder, too, if the sidewalk was also stone, and should show more of the brown color of the house? The driveway is not as good a leading line with snow all over it. Also might see what I could get if I stepped up a few feet so that little tree on the left wasn't in the shot. But then you might lose the cannon, and living in VA I appreciate seeing the occasional cannon in someone's front yard :-) |
