plums.jpgby pcodyComment: Like a pastel chalk drawing - great effect - really hard to believe this began as a photo. Nice! |

fast.jpgby pcodyComment: Subject is completely absorbed and unaware of you - that's really good. Color is fantastic. |

trees.jpgby pcodyComment: Nice anchoring of those strong trunks on either side, and I like how they fade away at the bottom, as if they are partially submerged under water. |

Little Straw Flower IIby banmornComment: I had taken pictures of these flowers last month - and while the flowers are striking and pretty, taking them "sharp" made them seem almost harsh - like they would cut you if you touched them. This softening shot you have here is very nice - retains all that lovely patterning of blood red and cream colors, but makes the bud seem very inviting. |

by boysetsfireComment: Astounding. The mirroring of gesture - what a great catch. On my monitor there's a distracting bit of bright just at the guy's shirt collar - a necklace catching in the light? I say it's distracting, but honestly I don't know whether that's a bad thing or a good thing. So I'll just note it and you can decide. :) |

day 15+1. 30 days of sharpless. crushyby rozComment: Looks like one of those plush and cuddly stuffed dogs. :) I like the blurred foliage on the left, but I find myself wishing (just a little) that the foliage on the right was equally blurred. |

Hangingby timfythetooComment: This is an interesting composition, almost don't see the figure in the background at first, but it's great - first you see the bar, then beyond that you get a glimpse of the bar, as it were, used in context. |

Summer Sweet Cornby WriteHeartComment: You've captured the sheen off those kernels really well - looks very tasty. For some reason I'd prefer to see this rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise - the landscape orientation here seems not to do it as much justice, IMO. |
