I really like the composition, but it seems like his face doesn't fully convey the fact that he just struck out. I would expect him to look much more bummed out than this.

Failed to Survive

I love the colors, but actually wish the sky wasn't so blue. It would have been nice if the sky was overcast and washed out. Then you'd have a colder feel to the whole image. Also, I think that subtle, diffused lighting on the tree (i.e. shot in Golden Hour) would have looked better to emphasize the idea that the tree is dead than these harsh mid-day shadows.

I like the shot, but wish I could see the flower in the frame (especially given the title). It's not really apparant from the photo that those greem stems belong to flowers.
