Backgammonby snoopyComment: An okay choice for B/W, but the composition could be better. |

BenchWarmingby sjgleahComment: The double row of chain link fence is interesting. Bottom just slightly tight (cut off cup and nearly lost the girl's toe). A little lower would have fixed that and cut off some of the burnt out sky and the cup hovering above the girl's head. Nits aside, quite nice. |

Paintballby David EyComment: Nicely composed with the player's head on a third. An action shot might have been more interesting than crouching in cover. Mid afternoon makes for kind of craptacular lighting outdoors, but I guess that's when they play. Needs some CCW rotation. |

ma~jongby princewaiComment: It's nice to see people playing a game, but I think the shot would have much more impact if you'd taken it while the players were showing some reaction to an event. As is, they're pretty inscrutable (look like my in-laws during the New Year's marathon). The flourescent lighting and busy/ugly background aren't helping much, either. This might have worked better if you'd gotten up on a chair and shot down on the action, or gotten in closer. |

Ten'll Get Ya Twentyby PatellaComment: Now *that's* ligting control. Nicely done. Compositionally, it might be more interesting with the ball less centered - maybe closer to one of the nutshells flipped over? Some oversharpening shows in the edges of the shadows and tops of the nutshells. |

More Of a Game To the Cat Than Usby AquaGoddess12880Comment: jpg compression very evident here. You're only using ~50kb when you're allowed 150, and it shows. Probably more effective shot from the cat's level rather than from above, and framed tighter to avoid the wood-carpet-wood thing. |

candylandby lauComment: The pieces are cute, but the busy bg detracts, particularly at the top. Don't know if this is the best image for B/W, as the contrast between the pieces isn't that strong, and you don't have many textures here. |

Keep your eye on the Birdie!by rcrawfordComment: Certainly pops. Colors a little too saturated for my taste - maybe lighting the whole image just a little would help. I'd like the birdie just a bit higher. Fill flash would have helped avoid the bottom of the racquet and birdie being in shadow. Did you use a polarizer? |

Dominoesby BNCComment: Moving the lightsource from the R to L would have avoided the shadows on the rear dominoes. DOF trails off a little abruptly for my taste. |
