Great shot of the intrepid husband going ahead -- cigarette and felt hat make him look like a mock Indiana Jones -- followed by the blond, beskirted oh-I-don't-THINK-so wife with her shoes off. Brilliant. :)

LOVE the blur. But you're right; voters tend to be single-minded, and Subject In Sharp Focus is one of their unbreakable rules.

This is a great 'atmosphere' shot. I also like the feeling I get from it -- you have the woman with the umbrella, black and white, in keeping with the dreary weather, and then you have the exuberant shirtless runner. I love the dichotomy.

We are suffering from the heat as well -- all outdoor work really must be done early in the morning or at night.

I love the vivid colors in these shots. I have never understood the way people dislike flower shots -- good ones are always nice, for me.

In the thumb, this looked like a scientific drawing by Leonardo Da Vinci. In full size... I'm glad I'm not creeped out about moths. (if it had been a centipede... shudder). Really, this is a quite nice shot, with nice detail, and I know all about those quiet days. I unfortunately have skipped a few, but at least I'm soldiering on, right? right? [crickets.]
