Here we are back on the wharf this morning, playing with the marine layer again. No sun, of course, but an ethereal silver light. I was lucky to capture it, and it was gone in about five minutes.

Those aren't dust bunnies on the horizon. The one that looks like a tiny upright post is one of the buoys that marks the beginning of the entrance to the harbor. The one on the far right is a ship, and the other four are drilling rigs.

I had a hard time getting any shots today. There was hardly any horizon, and it drove my auto-focus nuts. I finally ended up putting the camera on manual and setting the distance at infinity.

I like the coloring of the shot. This is one time where it would be really cool to have a mermaid jump out at you lol

So serene, I like the tiny little buoy, it puts things into perspective when you know what size those are & how tiny it seems here. I LOVE the reflection of the sun on that one spot in the water!

this looks so dreamy and smooth. Very nice! You did fine with the focus.

Interesting about the autofocus problems, though you found a good solution. Nice catch of the silver light.

Super skyline and nice reflection on the water. Really like the fact that you are in many ways dealing with the same colour (both sky and sea) but that within this the subtle tonal ranges means that there is still much to look at in the shot
