Jon, let me take a guess here, you have plaster and lath walls and ceilings?? Very cool shot! I love the textures in this! and no moths don't freak me out...just spiders!!! lol. Well, i'm not crazy about snakes either, lol.
Quiet days ROCK!! I need more of them!! LOL. Very nice shot! Love the detail!

I like Eric's call, I choose to believe it is a Mothus Moonus Gigantus :-) |

Ah man, I was sure you had visited the moon :) Oh well, still a great shot (that guy is huge) Daisy doesn't seem the type to be scared of bugs, which is a plus for you, I used to make my dad kill all sorts of bugs! |

In the thumb, this looked like a scientific drawing by Leonardo Da Vinci. In full size... I'm glad I'm not creeped out about moths. (if it had been a centipede... shudder). Really, this is a quite nice shot, with nice detail, and I know all about those quiet days. I unfortunately have skipped a few, but at least I'm soldiering on, right? right? [crickets.] |

Good subtle colors in the moth. Your bathroom ceiling is rather moon-like. |

Any type of insect in my bathroom will never constitute a "quiet" day. Great job capturing the detail. One question though: Do you just happen to have the camera with you in the bathroom? |

The square crop works well here and I like that the spread of wings creates a diagonal that cuts thru your pic.
I hope for your sake that this is just a really big macro shot. |

I thought it looked like it had landed in a pool of marshmallow cream |

You mean it's not a rare species of MMG... Jon are you sure?
When I first looked I though he was landed and had fluttered around in some flour. Nice macro shot. |

I was certain this was the rare species Mothus Moonus Gigantus, oh well. |
