Real cute composition, but needs a little better execution. A little too dark. Cropped a little closely on side. I know the 1/3 rule but I think it would have been better to have been a little wider, or cropped a little tighter on the top and bottom. Believe that would draw your eyes more to Santa, even as dark as it is. Good clean focus. PTL6

Blue Ridge Mountains? Love the dog at the bottom. He adds so much. I see a forest fire. Hope you reported it too. The haze is why they're called the Blue Ridge, whether that's where this picture was taken or not. Good shot. Great composition with good execution. Well done. PTL7

Looks too staged to be an actual scene. Nice looking actor and nice looking photo, though. Just can't see this going any where in journalism, unless to advertise a play in a local theater. I wouldn't be drawn to read anything from this photo, and I think that's the actual challenge, as I understand it. I will give a 5 for a technically good photo. PTL

King of Beers

Advertisement! I love the shot. Biggest problem - can't read which beer is the king of beers. In advertisement that's very important. Maybe zoomed in some and did away with more of the side and we could read the beer brand. As a photo it is beautiful. As an advertisement it falls short. But the photo is A1 in itself. But I must score it as a total unit. PTL5
