Critique Club : A funny and interesting subject. You have the subject very centered in the frame, which leads to a fairly 'static' look - as he is climbing up/ down it might look better to have framed it slightly off center, probably in the upper right, and leave some space to 'climb into' this would have also let you remove the two decorations? that are blurred out on the left hand side and distracting.

Exposure seems quite dark wihch works to give the feeling of night time. Mainly I think re-framing with an off-centered subject would make this have a much more dynamic feel to it and make it a stronger picture. Hope that is useful.

Real cute composition, but needs a little better execution. A little too dark. Cropped a little closely on side. I know the 1/3 rule but I think it would have been better to have been a little wider, or cropped a little tighter on the top and bottom. Believe that would draw your eyes more to Santa, even as dark as it is. Good clean focus. PTL6

Ok... good shot. I hope it wasn't just staged for this.

This photo is very dark. The subject blends into the background. Otherwise, it's a fun photograph taken from a great angle. It really makes you wonder what the heck is going on. However, I don't know how well that fits into a photojournalism challenge, as those images are supposed to help illustrate what is going on. muckpond

Cute. Better with the subject less centered and with a slightly longer exposure.

how could that bag possibly be big enough to hold my pony? man if santa doesn't come through this year finally i am really gonna lose it. like that the lighting's dark so it does look somber and a little criminal, even with the familiar jolly red suit.

Too funny! I do think that I would have cropped the shot to really emphasize Santa. lhall

Neat idea, maybe a bit too dark to get the full impact. Fun shot. Justine

Santa needs about a 500W spotlight on him so we can tell it's Santa. I don't think I could figure that out if not for the title. I wouldn't put this on the front page anyway. I think if he found out you did this, you'd be getting coal in your stocking for the rest of your life. Santa needs to be way more lit up. A spotlight I think would definitely make it look like he's in trouble with the law more too. - Inspzil
