Wood Turnerby DistantColoursComment: Back for a bump. Not only is the lighting excellent here, but it's a great example of storytelling. Those dirty, gritty hands make the shot. |

Terminator by GregoryBComment: Congrats on your first ribbon, Greg! It made my day to see your name on the front page. |

bearded warrior by rozComment: Roz, what amazes me is not that you can get a shot like this, but that you can do it consistently. Congrats on the blue! |

Simple Pleasuresby bspurgeonComment: This is a perfect companion piece to the other sandbox shot. This is too good to get a higher score from many of the DPC voters, such a shame. |

So much sand...so little time...by bspurgeonComment: This is the perfect capture of a very young child playing, as can be seen by the sand on leg and where the left arm moved in the sand. Taken from above this could be anybody's child, and that brings back memories for me. |

PaW2.jpgby CuttoothComment: This turned out nicely for your handheld issue. Those colors are dazzling and I like it quite a lot. On the 40D you can crank the iso a bit and get away with a shorter shutter speed. Also, you can go into burst mode and any little movement of hand or flower and that increases chance you'll get focus just right. |

Snoqualmie Fallsby pjangelComment: It still amazes me that you took this with a phone. Composition is excellent, the high contrast on upper left leads my eye right into the frame and then down with the water. I find that hard to achieve myself - well done. |
