Simple Joys In Lifeby dani-tornbackpocketComment: I'm presuming from the somewhat steep angle of tilt on the horizon that this is intentional, but it's something I don't really care for. I think this would have met the challenge description a little better had you gotten a shot without the trees on the left. Ilike the play of light on the water and I think that the lighting choice for the subject is great. |

Camouflageby mb27Comment: Great pic of the frog (toad?), but the image is a little too busy for me. Would have worked better for me without the sticks/brush in the foreground, but I know that sometimes that's the only way to get one of these shots. |

Long Journey Homeby lissylouComment: Fits the challenge quite well, but this just doesn't 'speak' to me. I can't quite make out what the subject is (a kite, I think) because it's out of focus. Also, I'm not quite sure about the subject placement. Perhaps a slightly shorter crop would help draw the eye to the subject. |

Radarby ceyvalComment: Fits the challenge quite well, but seems out of focus. I notice that you can see some of the lines are pixellated - perhaps you can try a higher resolution shot. Composition is nice, and I love the lighting. |

Tomato Cocktailby photogenixComment: While I like the idea for this one, and it does seem to fit the challenge description, I feel that the photo is too dark. More light on the tomatoes would have given a little bit more 'oomph' to your main subject. Also, since the photo is so dark, it's hard to tell how sharp the focus is. As it stands, it seems a little blurred. |

skateboardby petrakkaComment: Interesting viewpoint. Wish the front edge of the board and the front wheel were in focus. |

Out in the fieldby KarANNComment: Two things would have made this a much stronger photo in the challenge.
1. Better focus on the young man.
2. A different crop. That bare patch of ground really draws the eye away from the person.

Alone in the corner ...by c3realComment: Photo is grainy and out of focus. Would have met the challenge much better IMO if the background had been solid color instead of such strongly grained wood. |

Waking up in the morning sunby lastefComment: Your horizon is tilted just enough to be noticable and a little annoying. Image seems a little busy for 'minimalism'. Very interesting concept (not to mention interesting room), though. I think this might have worked better for this challenge had the bed been empty. |

Fishing Buddiesby leescComment: The background is too busy for me too feel it meets the challenge description. If they'd been silhouetted against the sky, a cliff face, or a dam it would have made this a 'cleaner' pic and may have fit the challenge better. Also, the fishermen are a bit out of focus (which detracts from their 'stage presence' as the main subject) and your horizon is slightly tilted. |
