Who says that everything has to be "tack sharp" (hate that term) and oversaturated to be good. The muted colors and "blown" highlights make this look like a picture from when Colfax was in its heyday. It's a great capture.

I'm with Bucket with respect to the border, but then I'm not a border person. 8) Having said that, I really like the use of b&w here. It emphasizes the forlorn look of the old building. I love the geometry -- the repeating right angles, the straight lines, the zig-zag roof and then just the tiny circle for the vent.

I love the colors, lines, and textures. I guess those are rusted screws, but they remind me of ants crawling around strawberry ice cream. A wonderfully wierd picture.
