Day 2 Garden Fenceby ElaineComment: Very nice perspective and DOF chosen. This is a very pleasing composition to my eye, with the fence forming a good leading line/diagonal. Has a nice quiet feel to it. Shows the remnants of winter (at least it looks like snow!) contrasted with the new growth of spring. I can see where a bit of editing can bring out the colors and textures a bit more, particularly on the fence. Nice |

Timothy Editedby TCGuruComment: Really nice editing, particularly with the skin tones/color. Moving the catchlight is an interesting idea - very convincing!
(You should post the thumbnail of your original in your comments so folks can look at them side by side a little easier. To do that, when typing comments, I think you can just type [thumb ]number[/thumb ] without the spaces in the brackets.) |

Day 3 - Swansby Bruce_the_RobertComment: What a lovely capture - I like the "dance" they seem to be doing. So very graceful! And yes, this has excellent editing possibilities - it's a good picture to start with. |

Day 3by xianartComment: Do you underexpose? I wonder how you get such marvelous depth and richness in these shots. And yes, level your horizon, get rid of the dust, and this one is done. Lovely. |

Day 1.1 - Peggy's Coveby xianartComment: OK, so here's the diff between you and me - I'd have stopped with what you got straight out of the camera, except for cropping or cloning the little bit at the very bottom. Really like this shot. The PP'd one is good, too. |

Minimal Edit PAD 2 "Golden Pheasant"by noranekoComment: Amazing colors! Great comp, again. I learned something, too - didn't know that by underexposing you could reduce the effect of the fence, but it makes sense, now that I think about it. You really do a good job of thinking through your shots. Appreciate VERY MUCH you sharing that process with us. |

Day 2 - Street at Sunsetby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Maybe it's just me, but I tend to leave powerlines in my pictures. I mean, they're THERE. Besides, they're a royal pain in the patootie to clone out, especially with trees involved. Learn to embrace the power lines. Well, not physically, of course, because that could be a real shocker. But seriously, consider just leaving them there! |
