let's play dress up!by lecookComment: If you were going for the look that everything in this photo clashes, then great job. This is one busy photo. So many different patterns. The old looking dog is a nice touch. The dress up idea definately portrays childhood nicely. Angle and placemnt are good. Good luck in the challenge. |

fear of the Supernaturalby sanandanComment: This is kind of creepy...and definately not from my childhood, but I am sure it is from someones. It really is a beautiful photo, but it kind of looks like it's bleeding. either that or not totally painted or something. You captured the angle beautifully. and the lighting is great. I like how the subject fills the whole photo. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

Ferris Wheelby hypoStillerComment: In the forums, there is discussion of "good" to "bad" childhood. Aparently some people are having trouble with the bad childhood photos. Personally I love them. I can relate better. This photo portrays a bad memory from my childhood. my dad had forced my mom and I to go on the ferris wheel. she was ready to give birth to my little brother and I was scared to death. the darn thing got stuck and we were at the top. All I can remember was screaming at the top of my lungs for what seemed like hours. LOL. funny how different things mean something different to everyone. I like the angle of this and the placement and frame filling is great. lighting is a bit dark on the bottoms of the carts, but that can't be controlled. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

A Fish Tale ...by sgtpepper6344Comment: I am not really sure what i'm looking at. your title is Fish Tale. So I am thinking that i'm looking at an actual photo of a Fish Tail. Since you spelled Tale so mean "a story" I am thinking that maybe there is a story behind the tail? To be honest, without the title, I would have no clue at all what this was. Setting that aside, the relationship to childhood is that you fished when you were young?? Anyway, the photo is really pretty, I assume there was some color editing going on. I like how it fills the frame, and the lighting appears to be good. There is a white blemish over to the right just under half way up that is a bit distracting. Interesting photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

Jacksby CowgirlComment: Very nice angle and great background. I like it. I also like the way the grass/concrete line is very close to being straight with the bottom of the frame. Focus and lighting are wonderful. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

exploreby john22132Comment: I relate to this photo well because I grew up on a dead end dirt road in the middle of nothing but field and forest. You have the main focus on the tree in the front. I wonder what it would look like looking straight down that road. I guess it doesn't really matter. I like it how it is, with the road in the background and the weeds and the tree in sharp focus. Some people probably wont see this as depicting childhood, but I am sure it does for you, as it also does for me. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

swinging highby TerryGeeComment: absolutely beautiful color. The swings like that that are here, are old and crusty looking. I love the angle and frame filling of this and placement within the frame is also great. lighting is also beautiful. Don't think I'd change a thing. well thought out, well executed. Good luck in the challenge. |

Castles and Shellsby MiekaComment: I LOVE how there are no footprints in this photo. I wonder why you chose the angle you did, but I'm not complaining. The angle works nicely with this photo for some reason. The red bucket and blue shovel add a very nice hint of color and this definately depicts childhood. I think I just realized why you went with this angle. Was it so you could walk on the rocks to place the shovel and bucket without showing footprints? Anyway, This is a great photo. Good luck in the challenge ~Hbunch7187~ |

My First Loveby AleciaComment: This definately does not portray childhood in my life, but I think you did an excelent job of showing that it DOES depict childhood in your life. Everyone's childhood is different and I can picture a little kid out on one of these boats with his/her Dad learning everything to do. The angle you chose is great. Black and white works really nicely here and although #1 is a bit dark on the side, the shadows to the left are a wonderful touch. Great shot and good luck in the challenge. |
