Simply done, but one of my favorites, as it takes me back down the path of my exploring days. I was lucky enough to live back when it was safer for a kid to have that freedom. Well framed, and good focus.

This holds many memories for me, and I like the foreground being off to one side, and almost framing the mid and background. Great light and shadow.

What a great shot--a path to explore--an adventure to happen--wonderful. andrewm

This gives me a definite sense of that overwhelming sense of adventure I remember having as a child. Hmm, what looks more inviting, the path through the trees, or that patch of long grass? :). It's great that you got down to the right height to make this appear as though it's the view as a child would see it.

This is excellent, I remember playing in the woods being a big part of my childhood. Nicely conveyed.

I love your idea for this. I used to love exploring. Nice well lit shot with interesting shadows and stuff. 8 - floyd

Without the context of the challenge itself, it is hard to see the relevance to the challenge in the pic. 3 Jak

I love this idea. I wish the path looked a little less travelled and the colors were pumped up just a tad. 7 Lisa

I relate to this photo well because I grew up on a dead end dirt road in the middle of nothing but field and forest. You have the main focus on the tree in the front. I wonder what it would look like looking straight down that road. I guess it doesn't really matter. I like it how it is, with the road in the background and the weeds and the tree in sharp focus. Some people probably wont see this as depicting childhood, but I am sure it does for you, as it also does for me. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

Having grown up on a farm in the country in PA, this is one I can definitely relate to ! I love the lighting and the composition, and the DOF works well for me. lhall

Not a bad shot...don't see the correlation with the topic though

This is pleasant landscape. It relates to childhood only because of the title. Yes, kids explore so do adults. So, I don't see anything specifically "Childhood" about this. Methinks, not enough contrast in the dark trees in the background. 5 Journey

Wow, This photo really catches my eye. Looks like someone playing hide and seek. One of my tops this week. 9.
