Under the Christmas Treeby YomiComment: I like your composition and the repeating of lines and angles - makes it a very interesting shot. I also like the limited color palette. Wonderful imagination to choose this angle and composition! lhall |

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.by RiderGalComment: Nice clear shot, with fairly good composition, I think I would have liked to have seen it cropped in about an inch or so on the right hand side. Not high impact for me, possibly because I have no real interest in canoes! However, I do like the colors, and the juxtaposition of old against new. Overall a nice shot. lhall 7 |

Yuleby KimblyComment: A unique idea with a good composition. I am not particularly crazy about this photo however, mostly, I think, because of the greenish-yellow cast on the skin on the left side. I think that I would have preferred to see a warmer (maybe red-orange) color on the majority skin - sort of what I am seeing on the right. lhall 8 |

Melancholy Melodyby nards656Comment: What an interesting angle! Good lighting, interesting composition, and I love the repetition of the different forms, as well as the light and dark tones. I also like your border. It sets the photo off well without overwhelming it. Moderate emotional impact for me, but nevertheless a terrific shot. 8. lhall |

Turkey Feather Still Lifeby KazComment: Lovely, and very "old world" looking. Lighting and composition work for me. Moderate to high impact for me. 8. lhall |

Sabbatier Starby GordonComment: Wonderful colors! An interesting concept, the composition is pleasing to me, and I would very much like to know how this shot was done. What the heck is "Sabbatier"?? I've looked on the internet, but have not yet found a description of the word. Saw some references to "sabbatier photography", but it did not say what it was! Anyway, nice shot. 9. lhall |

Market Streetby MiekaComment: Though I do like this shot, especially the black and white, I find that it has little emotional impact for me. I cannot decide what the subject is - whether it is the gentleman walking by, or the Christmas items, or the entire "market" itself. There seems to be so much to look at that my eyes are constantly wandering around the photo with nowhere to rest except on the man, though I do not feel that he is the "subject" of the photo. 8. lhall |

Minor Sunrise in a Major Keyby inspzilComment: Lovely shot. The soft focus is nice, although I think I would have preferred to see the branches of the tree in sharper relief against the sky. I do like the moody feel of the shot, and overall think it is quite nice. 8. lhall |

City Abstractby JakComment: This shot is quite interesting to me. I love the reflections, and the repeating lines and angles. The limited color palette is also very effective for the shot. The wide border bothers me a little, I think I would prefer that it be smaller so as to have less impact on the shot itself. Moderate to high impact for me. 8. lhall |
