Not a Mapplethorpe fan at all, but the composition of this alone makes it interesting. Would have like more light on the flower - not enough contrast there for me.

The only thing that saves this for me is that it is in black and white. That alone does make it an interesting shot for me. I am not crazy about shots of kids toys generally. The texture of the draped background adds interest, and I do like the lighting a lot.

Would have preferred that the tongue be in focus, since the title kind of makes it the subject. I like the composition, but would have liked better focus throughout.

Yep, the eye is the important thing, and that is in great focus. Beautiful color too. I like the way you have just a bit of the whiskers in there, and the nose. I don't like pics with JUST the eye. Nice composition, well done.

Those feathers look HUGE. Where'd ya get those? I want some! I like the feathers and the rose, but the - eggs, I guess, look out of place. I wouldn't have put them together with the rose. Composition really throws me off because it's hard to know what the actual subject is - rose, feathers, or eggs. Would have liked a little more light on the rose, I think.

Pretty much out of focus on my monitor, and a very confusing composition. All the red seems very overwhelming, and needs to have some balance.

Beautiful bright, crisp, clear shot. Decent composition, but I find the green boards (or whatever) distracting.

AAHHH! Looks like an OES! Good focus, and nice tight shot, but really would have loved to see the eyes. On most dogs, I just think you really need to see the eyes to get a sense of personality.
